Karl Wilhelm, eigentlich K. W. Salice-Contessa [sa'lis-], Schriftsteller, * Hirschberg in Rsgb. 19. 8. 1777, ✝ Berlin 2. 6. 1825; Freund E. Houwalds und E. T. A. Hoffmanns, in dessen »Serapionsbrüdern« er als »Sylvester« auftritt. Er schrieb romantische Erzählungen, Lustspiele und gab mit F. de la Motte Fouqué Kindermärchen heraus (2 Bände, 1816/17); war auch Landschaftsmaler.
 
Ausgaben: Schriften, herausgegeben von E. Houwald, 9 Bände (1826); Märchen und Nachtstücke, Serapiontische Erzählungen, Kleine Geschichten und Hoffmannia, herausgegeben von C. G. von Maassen (1922).
